CLAUDIA ACQUAVIVA

Claudia began her dance training, hip hop, modern, contemporary and ballet, at the age of 6 in Italy. She became part of Arke' Ensemble at the age of 16.

She traveled to Chicago and trained at the Doris Humprey Foundation and to New York where she received a scholarship to study at The Martha Graham school of contemporary Dance. 

Claudia took her Pilates certificate in 2009 and in 2013 she moved to Milan to attend the academy of the Kataklo' Athletic Dance Theater and here she deepen her studies in ballet, contemporary and she acquired new disciplines such as acrofloorwork, aerial hoop and tissues.

In 2014 she joined Nue Dance Company where she performed nationally and internationally( New York, Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016) till 2017.

Few months later she passed an audition for Nikki De Graaf Dance Company in The Netherlands and she moved there to continue her dance and teaching adventure.

In 2018 she began a collaboration with Dance in Art ( Haarlem, NL), where she was a teacher, choreographer, mentor and NCC( Netherlands Choreography Competition) manager.

Claudia completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher training in 2020. She then kept deepening her studies and as today she teaches : Vinyasa & Hatha yoga, Yin Yoga, Kids & Teens yoga, Pre & post Natal yoga and she is currently studying Yoga for shoulders' rehabilitation and therapy. She now lives in South Africa where she is a Dance and Yoga coach.
